Finis Aqua PulseFinis took their time, to make sure they got this product perfect......and it is!

You will never stop to check your heart rate again. The AquaPulse™ verbally announces your heartrate while you swim.Just put  the AquaPulse™ inside your goggle strap, attach the soft rubber clip to your earlobe, and go swim. It uses an infrared sensor to monitor capillary blood flow, your heart beat is detected through your earlobe. The heart rate is then audibly communicated to you in real time, where the information is transmitted directly to your inner ear via Bone Conduction Technology. No ear buds, cumbersome chest straps, or watch devices are needed.

The heart rate announcements are made regularly in 10-second, 20-second, 30-second, 45-second, 1-minute, 2-minute or 5-minute increments. Push the “Instant Heart Rate” button to hear your last recorded reading again. Complete with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, you can use the AquaPulse™ from five to eight hours depending on the interval setting. Simply plug the integrated USB directly into a USB port on your computer to recharge.

We had to wait.....but patience is again rewarded!! Click here to add buy online.

Congratulations to the Lyons Township High School Boys Swim Team for winning the Illinois State High School Sectional Meet, at Downers Grove (North) High School, Saturday, February 19.  In Illinois, to qualify for the State Meet swimmers must achieve their qualifying time at the Sectional Meet, so it's a pressure-packed meet. The Lions, entered the meet with ZERO qualifying times achieved during the regular season.

At the end of the day, the team qualified all three relays (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay).  Additionally, the team qualified individual swimmers in the 200 free, 50 free, 100 free (two swimmers), 500 free, and 100 fly. Every member of the team posted personal best times, and the 400 Free Relay achieved a Junior National time, 3:11.73.

Here you can see the happy boys outfitted in great swim parkas from Splashwear! Great job Lyons Township and good luck at State!

The Swimovate Pool Mate hit the swimming scene last year with a bang and this year they made it even better.  The Swimovate Pool Mate Pro not only tracks your workout on the watch itself, but it can also download your workout to your computer.

The watch contains motion sensors to automatically monitor the motion of your arm when swimming so you don’t have to worry about counting laps yourself and can concentrate on your technique or just relax and swim. The Pro package includes a download pod that plugs into your USB port and cable. The watch will simply and automatically transfer the data via Infrared link to the pod and your PC.

In addition to the statistics for the overall session it will record the same data for each individual set so you can see how all these metrics change through a swim session. You can even time your rest periods between sets. All data is stored in a large memory in the watch for review during or after a swim session (over 100 LOGS can be stored before download).

The included software is simple and intuitive to use and has multiple language support.

The NCAA has given the thumbs up to blueseventy’s neroTX swimskin, ensuring that swimmers can wear the suits at forthcoming Conference meets and the NCAA Championships.
Furthermore, swimmers with a banned swimskin can trade it in for a 50% discount on a new NeroTX suit.

The new suit features the very latest in modern textile fabric technology, making as much up to the minute technology as possible available to the swimmer.
CEO Steve Nicholls commented: “The body suit has been banished, but a new generation of suits is now ready to take their place. The neroTX has been extensively tested by scientists and swimmers.  Whilst staying within FINAs latest guidelines, we’ve produced a super light weight, compressive, hydrophobic material that repels water effectively and drastically decreases drag.
We’ve applied the same passion for design and innovation to the neroTX that turned the record breaking blueseventy nero into the top selling race suit in the world.”
The neroTX is made from a unique highly compressive, ultra low drag, water smart fabric.  blueseventy's exclusive fabric is produced using a warp multifilament treated nylon, with an
extremely thin yarn count. The entire neroTX range is ultrasonically welded, further eliminating the drag that’s created from traditionally sewn suits.

The SportCount Chrono 100 is a great way to track all of your workout statistics.  One of my customers sent me his workout stats using the Chrono 100 and agreed to let me share it with you!  I hope you find it helpful.  If you have any questions about this product or any other....just call the store at 1-866-218-SWIM and we will be very happy to help you.  Happy Swimming!!

Here are his stats!

"I received the SportCount Chrono 100 on Saturday morning, and was able to use it.

I usually swim only once a week, in an outdoor 25 meter pool, for a little over 2000
meters.

Here are details of my very first timing, with some summaries and some observations
at the bottom.

   Column A:  distance in meters
Column B:  time to swim in seconds
Column C:  pace for 25 meters in seconds = (25*B)/A
Column D:  pace for 2000 meters in minutes and seconds = (2000*B)/A
   Column E:  rest in seconds

   Aside: i)  In Row 12 below, I swam 150 instead of 100.
ii) This is the first time in my life that I looked
at my swim performance this carefully!

Great news for you distance and fitness swimmers!  I just found a great new product....Swimovate Pool Mate.  It's a wrist swim computer.  It will keep track of your laps, in all strokes automatically!  What a great idea!  Not only does it track your laps, but it tells you how you're doing during your workout.  Check it out!  I think you'll be as amazed as I was when I found it.
